  10. There are six sections to this readme file.
  11.

  21. @e1)  NEW INSTALLATION:@e  
  22.  
  23. This is for a new installation of Black Knight where it
  24. presently does not reside on the hard drive.  Black Knight is a DOS game and
  25. it must be played in the DOS environment.  To install Black Knight, follow 
  26. these steps:
  27.  
  28.         1)  If you are using WIN 3.1x, exit from windows.  Do not select 
  29.             the MS-DOS icon.  
  30.             If you are using WIN 95, you must do a shut down and restart 
  31.             the computer in DOS mode.  Do not select the DOS icon.
  32.         2)  Make sure your Caps Lock light is turned off.
  33.         3)  Place the Black Knight CD-ROM in your CD drive.
  34.         4)  Place the 3 1/2" floppy in drive a (or b).
  35.         5)  At the DOS prompt, type @ea:\install@e (or b:\install) and press 
  36.             the enter key.  The installation program will begin.  Follow 
  37.             the installation prompts.
  38.         6)  Follow the prompts for setting up the Sound and Music drives.  
  39.             Select "SoundBlaster Clone" for Sound and select SoundBlaster" 
  40.             or Compatible" for Music.  This is a good starting point for
  41.             most sound cards.

  45. @e20  PATCH INSTALLATION:@e  
  46.  
  47. This patch installation will only work on 
  48. versions 1.32 or less of Black Knight.  This installation update Black Knight 
  49. to the current version of 1.33.  Black Knight already needs to be installed 
  50. on your hard disk.
  51.  
  52. To begin the patch installation, follow these steps:
  53.  
  54.         1)  If you are using WIN 3.1x, exit from windows.  Do not select 
  55.             the MS-DOS icon.  
  56.             If you are using WIN 95, you must do a shut down and restart 
  57.             the computer in DOS mode.  Do not select the DOS icon.
  58.         2)  Place the 3 1/2" floppy in drive a (or b).
  59.         3)  At the DOS prompt, type @ecd \bk@e and press the enter key to 
  60.             change to the Black Knight directory.
  61.         4)  At the DOS prompt, type @ea:\update -o@e (or b:\update -o) 
  62.             and press the enter key to begin installing the patch files.
  63.           
  64. That's it - you've go the latest version of Black Knight!

  105. On this Patch Disk are files for the Mark II FCS, Mark II WCS, and the
  106. F-16 FLCS.  These are sample files that were developed with the assistance
  107. of Thrustmaster.  Please modify the specific files to meet your special 
  108. requirement.  
  109.  
  110. If you want to share your Thrustmaster files with others, please mail a disk 
  111. or e-mail them to the addresses given in the section labeled Technical 
  112. Support.  FormGen will have a web site in the near future and I will post them
  113. for other to see and use.
